We have started a discipleship course called Holy Habits from the Bible Reading Fellowship. This explores following Jesus through the life of the early church described in Acts 2.42-47. In this service, Simon introduces the course.

Our Sunday Service at South St today will start at 10.30 am & will last for 45 minutes. The service is led by Ross with well known caols & the lighting of the Christmas candles. Ross will reflect on Jesus the gift of Christmas.

On Sunday 11 Dec at 5.30 pm, we are hosting the Celebrate Together and Exeter Mencap carol service with favourite carols and Christmas readings. An accessible and welcoming service with refreshments served afterwards.
Our Sunday Service tomorrow will include the Act of Remembrance at 11 am and so the service will start at the earlier time of 10.45 am. Simon will lead the service and will reflect on the theme of sacrifice as a characteristic of Christian community.

South St Baptist Church will be open this morning (Tues 13 Sept) from 10.30 am for those who would like to pray in the church or to light a candle as we continue to mourn HM Queen Elizabeth II. You are very welcome to use our church this morning to find space for quiet prayer.

As usual for Friday morning the sun rose, the bin lorry came & i sat at my desk. But it all feels very different this Friday as we come to terms with the death of our Queen.
May God comfort all who grieve and give us courage to face the future together.
