@rosscwinton Without knowing for certain, it’s tough to say. There’s possibly some concern that they’d be reported if it was for a class. They might also think they’re in legal trouble and want to hide though we just wanted to be responsive to a potential issue.

@rosscwinton @agrilifetoday This article, now retracted, was intended to promote awareness. A rapidly revised title emphasized the report was on iNaturalist and the article stated no specimens had been found.

Along those lines, a Section 2(ee) has been approved by the Texas Department of Agriculture for Dimethoate 4EC to control stink bugs in grain sorghum for Texas. As always, follow label guidelines for use and handling. #tamubugs

Cotton fleahopper pressure picking up in the Lower Rio Grande Valley while much of the region is very quiet. Keep an eye out for bollworms in cotton: https://t.co/KAoAZ5r0bW.

Cotton is blooming across the area. Sorghum aphid (once called sugarcane aphid) has started popping up from the LRGV to the Nueces County area. Listen here to hear what we’re finding this week: https://t.co/dw8rIYqzjI.
