Jake visited the Laurel County Center for Innovation (CFI) in Kentucky, where he delivered an in-depth presentation on suturing techniques to Mrs. Dagley's 9th–12th grade students, offering them valuable hands-on experience in clinical medical procedures.

Southern AHEC staff presented the 'Radon on the Radar' research poster today at Appalachian Research Day in Corbin, KY. The project, Residents Acting to Detect and Alleviate Radon (RADAR), is led by UK BREATHE and funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

Saturday marked our very first Next Nurse meeting at ARH, and it was a blast! We had amazing students from Knox County ATC join us, and they kicked things off with an exciting tour of the hospital. A perfect way to start their nursing journey!
Jake was at Lincoln County ATC in Mrs. Mays classes on 11/18 with our operation game! Students played operation while also learning about multiple health careers tied to each game piece.
