On to the 1895 season: Ed Mellinger
Ed was captain this season and helped lead the cyclones to a big win over Iowa, 24-0. Anytime a player helps us beat Iowa, automatically goes to a top contender on best cyclone of the year🤷‍♂️

This was also, Pop Warners first year at head coach.

1892 Season (Iowa Agricultural Cardinals): Ira C. Brownlie
He was both the head coach and the captain of the inaugural football team.
