@DxBruyneSZN Half of them are wrong but there's more to football than just having good players
Tactical familiarity, player chemistry and having the right players for a system play a gigantic role in the sucess of a football team.
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola It wouldn't take a tactical change at all, he'd fit into a 325 / 3223 set up perfectly which Is likely why we are aggressively pursuing him
He is essentially erisken now but younger, much much higher work rate and much more of a direct goal threat... And much, much quicker too.
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola Casemiro would be absolutely fine, ETH has never been focused on possesion based football for the sake of possesion
Ajax turned the ball over alot but won it back aggressively in the opponents half and recycled possesion.
Liverpool's best teams under Klopp did this too
@FlexxMf @UtdActive @SiinthAP Or the Chelsea fans who actually have a clue what they're talking about.
There's a reason Klopp, Arteta, Ten Hag want him and Pochettino wants to keep him... City wanted him last summer!
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola Again he has done it at times for Chelsea + England and looked calm and composed every time he's done so
He receive the ball on the half turn well to break pressure, his progressive passing game is very good and his retention in his own half is considerably better than Eriskens
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola That's exactly the system Ten hag is implementing at United as he did at Ajax.
Blind and Mazouri were both equally adept at either dropping into the 3 or inverting to make a midfield two
It's something we've seen united do more and more as the season has progressed
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola With two technically brilliant progression minded CBs the need for eriksen to drop deep would become much, much less.
And there's also the car of Bruno also being able to efficiently drop deep arguably to a higher level than eriksen
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola It's an area he will have to improve in and have seen him do it before for both Chelsea and England when he's played on the left of a midfield 3
It's not like Erisken excels at it either tbh
From a defensive / counter pressing viewpoint Mount is absolutely Miles above eriksen
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola Ten hag is very well known to implement 3-2 / 3-1 in build up as he almost exclusively did at Ajax.
We've rarely seen a 2-3/2-4 particularly after the World Cup and when we have it's been whilst players are recycling possesion and transitioning back into a 3-1 /3-2
@BelovethJohn@joeladejola Load of nonsense, if you mean pragmatic because we've played much deeper than ETH woukd like due to DDG refusing to come off his line? fine
mount would fill the advanced 8 role that erisken currently occupies, we often see a 3223/325 shape when we're in possesion in final 3rd
@RP_Field @a1_vezz @MichaelTP_@UtdPlug@CharlieWyett And people were wrong then too...
Man City and Liverpool have both scored more counter attack goals this season than any season Ole managed United... Just three less than United this season.
Are they counter attacking sides? ๐คฃ๐คฃ
