@JamesSurowiecki This is why I think a better solution could be to let the player who is fouled take the kick, yamal probably scores but makes the xG of the pen more varied
Some personal news:
I'm joining @TheArgumentMag as a staff writer where I'll be writing about culture, technology and politics.
Thrilled to join @JerusalemDemsas, @KelseyTuoc, @lxeagle17 and the entire team there.
@Rabadash2 I think people still go to coffee shops, I think the alternative(staying at home) has become more appealing to bars and movies as tastes move to other venues, I think younger people are just also into different activities than you listed
The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward admitting that "free bus" critics were right and quality of service is more important than fares!
The issue is there’s deadweight loss in pay-to-play youth sports as talented kids whose parents are poor (or just indifferent) get cut off from the chance to train with good coaches and competition.
Maybe we don’t care about training great athletes, but hard to win this way.
@JeremiahDJohns I think the problem is yeah R16 is about maybe the ceiling, but they played so uncharacteristically bad in that game, looked way too nervous and shaky. Also that’s probably the best game Belgium played they looked pretty mid in previous games.
@DKThomp On flattening, tactical variety is quite uncommon on the club level, on intl level, teams are hiring club managers who are playing a modern style of football which encompasses many styles of play not necessarily tied nation style of play
@billybinion That’s why they’ve started to take players off the field, and showing yellow cards. However the game has to stop for a head injury which many players still fake. Was terrible in the PL goalie would go down to get the team a 3 min break each game
@ModeledBehavior Could this not just be a denominator increasing via popular so density decreased and people perfering other services than the 4 shown above
