The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to learn that Myles O’Connor has passed away at the age of 59.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Myles was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and began his college hockey career at the University of Michigan that fall.
Myles played four years for the Wolverines and served as co-captain in his senior season. Myles joined New Jersey’s affiliate club in Utica after the end of his final collegiate season in the spring of 1989. After a full season with Utica during the 1989-90 season, Myles made his NHL debut with New Jersey the following season on November 18, 1990. In just his ninth career game on January 12, 1991, Myles scored his first career NHL goal.
Myles played with the Devils’ organization until the conclusion of the 1992-93 season, before joining the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for the 1993-94 season. Following his time with the Ducks’ organization, Myles’ professional hockey career continued in North America before playing one season in Japan in 1997-98.
Myles’ son, Logan, is currently a forward for the Colorado Avalanche.
We send our deepest condolences to Myles’ family, friends, and former teammates during this incredibly difficult time.
the comments on this post r so disgusting. when will ppl realize bugs r animals as well n cannot control how they look and act. setting an animal on fire, boiling it, any form of painfully killing it, just coz u dont like how it looks is horrible n despicable n it makes me sad
I can’t believe we have to say this, but the annihilation of two major American cities — more than 5 million people — is not a “small price to pay” for Trump's illegal war.
Neither are the 19 American troops and 3,000+ Iranians who lost their lives.
Our president is unhinged.
