Bnd has the strongest character work and exploration of Peter Parker of any Spider-Man film in live action. That’s more important than just having a traditional villain Jean works well and I’m ok with that.

Ned and Mj barely have any screen time, they only function as symbols of what Peter lost and desperately wants back. All of which are much better than sm2’s fights. Sm2 peaks higher with the train fight but it’s not consistently better than bnd
