Yesterday marked 49 years since one of the worst refereeing decisions of all time in a vital World Cup Qualifier.
Scotland’s Joe Jordan clearly uses his hand against Wales at Anfield, yet the referee gives the penalty to Scotland,
Even Scottish commentator Archie Macpherson agrees with the referee.
Scotland won the game 2-0 and qualified for the 1978 World Cup in Argentina.

@ChrisMartzWX “whores at the gym” What a disgusting comment. I’m off if you don’t apologise for such a crass post. I’ve admired your nuanced approach to climate change but this is a game changer for me. Block me to save me the trouble.
Still too many remainers. Hold an internal vote and question the nay sayers and visibly bin their opportunities to stand again. The Conservative Party was indeed a broad church and I was one of them - no longer.
@ciderboy007 Well thank you ‘ol’ bean. Off to my local with the missus for 40% off main meals and 25% off our drinks. I’ll return to the hacienda to watch the England game.
This vision @KemiBadenoch is highly impressive. It is realistic & radical but also optimistic, decent, refreshing & dramatic. It is the first time in 25years or more that a major party leader has spoken honestly & sensibly about what has gone wrong, challenged all sorts of mistakes & orthodoxies perpetrated by both parties for decades, and suggested how to govern & reform this country in this turbulent new era. Its no surprise that this was in part inspired by chats w the late brilliant Sir Alex Younger. No wonder Kemi is so popular as a leader and this confirms why…
@Sophthecatsmum@johncrossmirror Just give it a moments thought. Say 500 England fans had been allocated tickets-how do you think that would have gone down with the ‘local’s?
Told you! Stay out of politics. You’re far too good in your own field of expertise to get half of the dinks out there liking you and the other half hating you.
Remind me to never talk about politics ever again.
Evidently, I can criticize the Democrats all day long and be showered with eternal praise, but if I dare to attempt holding the party that claims to represent my values accountable for failing to deliver on core campaign promises, well, that’s a bridge too far and it makes me a “liberal.”
I’m apparently a “liberal” and “commie” because I don’t like being $40 trillion in debt, want massive spending cuts to be made to welfare and entitlements, and don’t want my tax dollars going to fund endless wars in the Middle East.
I’m getting tired of the MAGA faction’s conformist personality; they’re just like Democrats that way. I’m tired of treating elected officials like they’re God or all-knowing oracles who cannot be questioned. I’m tired of treating politics like a team sport.
Members of Congress and the President are elected to represent us in the federal government. They are not there to rule us. They are just federal employees who are supposed to work for us.
I’m done with Democrats. I’m done with Republicans. I’m done with this the two-party system. Two wings. Same bird. The illusion of choice.
Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.
Burn it to the ground.
Start over.

BBC Radio 4’s news flagship show this morning cut out Ed Sheeran’s condemnation of 7 October, leaving listeners with only his words on Gaza.
Why did the BBC choose to make such a biased editorial call?
Before entering politics, I ran a women’s refuge. I’ve seen the real-life impact of misogyny.
Sending these poisonous attitudes back to the dark ages is everyone’s business. We’re stepping up, providing the political leadership to make it happen.
