Next week the #Horizon2020 project Space@Sea will have the demonstration of the #FloatingIsland during the @WCFS2020 conference. The demonstration will be recorded and live streamed to the conference. Tickets for the digital conference are still available: https://t.co/af41mkcVjv
Here’s a project that’s making waves! 🌊
As a researcher at @Blue21Float, Vicky is developing sustainable floating islands for the #H2020@SpaceAtSea project🏝️

Demonstration tests of @EU_H2020 project Space@Sea now also include a vessel moored to the #FloatingIsland. The wave conditions shown occur once every year. We see that the island provides a safe shelter for the vessel.
@EU_H2020@MARIN_nieuws The condition shown here is the worst condition the island will encounter during a period of one year for the location of the shore of Southern France in the Mediterranean Sea.

First moving images of the Space@Sea #FloatingIsland@EU_H2020#Demonstration tests at @MARIN_nieuws.
The top and left row are wave energy converters, they are supposed to move this much to harvest energy from the waves and dampend the motions for the rest of the island.
Digital tickets to PtW-WCFS2020 are also available now! WCFS2020 will take place as planned on 6-8 October in Rotterdam. It will also be broadcasted. Read more about the updated COVID-19 policy and get your tickets now: https://t.co/rsgrduhX1z
Results of the Space@Sea model tests performed by @tudelft are publicly available through: https://t.co/20Trqn6COG
The dataset contains a large set of model tests with various shapes of #floatingislands including motions to be used for numerical #validation#H2020#innovation
The Space@Sea project is having the General Assembly meetings this week. And as a tradition with these meetings we also have drinks together. This time #digitaldrinks
We are honored to announce that Springer Nature
will be the publisher for the Book of Proceedings PtW-WCFS2020.
The new deadline for abstract submission is 20 March 2020. We look forward to receiving your abstracts on floating solutions. https://t.co/0USTp4NpHS
Space@Sea will disseminate the final results at the Paving the Waves conference in October 2020. The conference is open for abstract submission and #earlybird registration: https://t.co/JnimjdvKCY
