One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
Punching Power Program
Going to be working on this over the next year.
A combination of:
- Shadowboxing
- Heavy Bag Drills
- Special Development Strength Exercises
- Special Development Power Exercises.
Punching Power = Maximal Strength x Technical Skill x Rotational Torque (Force & Power).
May take 3 months, may take 12, The Combat Conclave members will be getting early release is all I know.
Conditioning is the more underrated aspect of training in S&C.
We all know why strength mattersβ¦
*Proper* conditioning training is often poorly programmed + good training pays off more than you would expect β¬οΈ
The UFC did not prove that Jiujitsu was the ultimate art over the last 30 years
It proved wrestling is
Wrestlers dominate everyone in MMA
They not only dominate with wrestling but they actually become more effective strikers, submission artists & overall athletes than the rest
The #1 rule of life IMO is donβt flinch
Whatever youβre doing you can probably unfuck it if it turns out to be bad. But you canβt ever flinch
The mindset is way more rare than the muscles
