I don't know if Ohba-san was aware that he had overseas fans like myself, but his presence is going to be dearly missed and his legacy will live on forever. Here's my art to honour his memory. Thank you for everything, legend! <3 JOUCHAKU! GAVAN!! #大葉健二#ギャバン
@SliferSlackin@Dfafed686@KRRicRX Metal Hero had consistently better TV viewership and toy sales than Super Sentai during its entire run. I've posted proof several times over.
@UsagijojoVRC@ROCKINHOPPER Another issue is that they just did a LOT of stuff into one show worth two shows, hence a third B-Fighter series was not made and they did Kabutack instead
@UsagijojoVRC@ROCKINHOPPER Metal Hero still continued for two more years after this. Kabutack and Robotack were a huge ratings and commercial success. They ended because of schedule changes, wanting to do Ishinomori tribute shows. When Agito did very well they decided to make Kamen rider instead.
Metal Hero was profitable and more popular than Sentai during its run. Metal Heroes ended because of schedule changes not because of poor toy sales or ratings. Kabutack and Robotack outsold B-Fighter and had higher ratings than Megaranger and Gingaman.
@TokuAANN@Pierce8893 Seriously, Metal Hero was far more important to TV tokusatsu than Sentai was during the 80s and 90s. Metal Hero is doing all kinds of insane TV action sfx and choreography and they're all "muh superhero stuff".
@TokuAANN@Pierce8893 Schedule changes are why Metal Hero went away. Not decline in toy sales or TV ratings. TokuCast are easily the most uninformed of the toku podcasts.
