Just realized they selected my Badwater Basin photo for Vol 60, Is. 8 of Meteoritics & Planetary Science! Thanks for picking this photo. It was hella fun capturing this view. Glad to have a paper in this issue (although would've appreciated a lil name credit 4 the photo lol). ๐
Excited 2 be embarking on another space mission journey this fall. This time we're off to the moon & from Canada!๐๐จ๐ฆ Its been heartbreaking to witness the state of science in US. I'm sad to have to leave my community. So grateful for another chance at being a part of a mission!
Back to drop some art in your feed๐
This New Mexico landscape was a DREAM to paint ๐จ

Dr. Catherine Maggiori has written of the proposed budget cuts to NASA and what this might mean for science funding (including astrobiology funding) for the U.S.

Gave my โฅ๏ธ & soul to science & got burnout & mass firings. Idk about market 4 witchy art but it cant be worse than science rn. Embracing "job market so bad might as well follow my dream" ๐ Still a geochemist looking 4 a job but I'll be sharing more art:

Perks of living in Santa Fe include running into George R R Martin at your local medieval themed bar.
What a fun evening! โจ
Had the opportunity to film for Nat Geo Learning today at the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History & Science. IT WAS A BLAST! I got to feature a galaxy shirt I painted & even got to talk about my art! It's a strange time in the world but science outreach ALWAYS makes me joyful
Well some good news somewhere in the worldโฆ
A court in Spain ruled that single parents are now entitled to the same amount of paid parental leave that couples get!
Each parent got 16 wksโฆso now single parents get 32 wks. A HUGE transformative win!
Absolutely digging the decentralization of social media! Im on Pixelfed if anyone wants to see photos of sciency art and artsy science+ other life things ๐โจ ๐บ

This is really gross. I'm so sorry to my NASA and NASA contractor friends and colleagues for having to deal with this. That threat at the end is particularly unprofessional and draconian.
@Microsoft365@ExcelHumor Itโs true: My father-in-law is constantly on Teams meetings. Heโs a pro: intros, sharing docs, muting people with loud sound in the background, etc
In passing I asked him why he never shuts it down. I will never forget his answerโฆ
โWe canโt, we donโt know how to do it.'"
