What's gonna hurt the crypto industry more than the actual money lost in it these days is that many who were involved with $UST got in because it was supposed to be stable and were dipping their toes to test the waters.

Crypto is not a store of value when there is fear in the markets, at least rn.

Terra, w/ a combined market cap of ~$30B before the drop shook a $1.5T industry. It was just 2% of the entire industry yet it wiped more than 5% from the market, so far.
