The number of 29 CGR 1910.28 citations I've written for starships & space stations is why I drink. (humor account not run by anyone affiliated with real OSHA)
If you think a space employer is not following Space OSHA standards, you can submit a space health and safety complaint using this form: https://t.co/IaDjjtAT83
Thank you for doing your part to keep the galaxies' workplaces safe!
@freshyill The Naboo government is not liable for accidents (including bifurcation and chasm plummeting) that may occur during unauthorized use of its power core.
Long time no post. I’ll be at @SW_Celebration this weekend. Come find me and get a free @space_osha button! Also, I will revive this account soon, just need to find some time to write up posts.

SOSH ACT § (5)(a)(1): Electrically-powered blast doors don't have door stop sensors to initiate retraction/stop closure if doors begin closing on an employee, resulting in a struck-by hazard. #spaceOSHAviolation#StarWars
@Zethnar That’s not the function the doors were performing when the citation was issued. If the purpose of these doors is to protect from environmental hazards in an emergency, then they shouldn’t be manually activated for area access control.
@furrybananas So if these doors should only be closed to seal off an environmental hazard, and not for access control, then that’d be a violation related to improper use of equipment - or failure to train employees in its proper use.
@furrybananas If these doors are being used for purposes other than to protect from vacuum, like to cut off access of certain areas to intruders, they need to not be a risk to employees in the area or in pursuit.
