Each time I have a chance to collaborate with @sidefxhoudini I think of my whole #houdini journey. First time I had a chance to witness Houdini Hive was in 2017 at LA #siggraph where I got my hands on my first Houdini t-shirt that is still holding with only one little holeπͺ
Letβs end this week od the Dynasty Age with a turntable beauty.

Satoshi didn't announce a goodbye. He simply moved on.
April 23, 2011 marked his final known email. Bitcoin continued without its creator at the centre.
One of its defining moments, preserved through The Origins.

Week of Prehistoric Age is ending. It continues from Genesis and while it preserves the narrative it still introduces fresh style for its own importance.
The iterations are surprising and always satisfying to witness.
Created with #houdinifx#redshift and lots and lots of data pushed through procedural magic β¨
Stay tuned for next weekβs Dynasty Age
This week is about Prehistoric Age and today we are looking at how this visual style moves away from Genesis Age while still holding the notion of continuation within our narrative of evolution.
Aside from myriad of technical obstacles and nuances that had to be fine tuned, one of the important decisions was how to get across the look of first human marks and drawings while still respectign the digital nature of The Origins collection.
Enjoy the sneak peak behind the scenes and into some iterations leading up to the final look.

An Age starts with a question: what should this period feel like?
From there, it becomes a series of decisions, tests and iterations.
This is a look at how I approached building the visual language for one of the Genesis Age in The Origins.

Bitcoin history is full of moments that changed what came next.
Today weβre taking one of those moments back to the record, looking at why it mattered and how that history connects to The Origins.
The event is the history. The artwork becomes the interpretation.
AGE STUDY 16: QUANTUM
Cosmic expanded outward into the universe. Quantum moves somewhere less familiar.
Form, meaning and structure no longer need to follow the rules of physical reality.
The work can become more abstract, experimental and open to interpretation.
The first currently named Age inside the Infinite Epoch.

AGE 15: COSMIC π
Cosmic opens into a different kind of scale. Human presence moves outward, beyond its origin, into distance, exploration and the unknown.
The form feels crystalline, radiant, suspended between structure and atmosphere.

I wanted Fusion to feel like energy held under control.
Dense layers, sharp geometry and colour build around a precise centre, while the data gives each artwork its own form.
Does it feel controlled to you, or ready to break apart?
