Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek must be the luckiest Tennis players on the planet, they are still able to play Tennis after both of them failed drug tests when a banned performance enhancing substance was found in their blood.
@LHCLSV Yeah I'm reading the rules and they say that if you got caught twice with doping you ought to be harshly penalised. But the rules haven't been applied in the Sinners case!
An independent tribunal has suspended Czech tennis player Markéta Vondroušová for four years under the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme.
The tribunal determined that the player provided "no compelling justification" for refusing a test in December 2025.

@robinahoody@LHCLSV Exactly. But someone hired a member of the "independent" tribunal as his lawyer, and had the whole Italian tennis mafia with the Capo Gaudenzi behind his back. Corruption at its finest form.
@pavyg Yup, the moment he started doing commentary for the Tennis Channel he basically became a contractor of the tennis establishment with a financial interest to prop the current state of affairs on the Tour. Rocking the ATP boat is the last thing this guy would want to do.
@pavyg Yannick: And thank you Mr. Ferrara for your regular dosages of Clostebol. Without your pharmacological "expertise" i would be still number 15 in the ATP Ranking.
Clostebotaly winning another Davis Cup. Tragic for tennis. To think that this country just few years ago tennis wise was on the level of South Africa, Chile or Kazakhstan. Jeez, i wonder what changed in the meantime. 🤔
@pavyg Yeah it's called a systematic doping and it's punishable by sports law, (few countries in the past where restricted in participation in big events because of it), but the Italians have the corrupted tennis eco system on their side, sadly.
@pavyg Thinking, Sinner, Ferrara, Gaudenzi and Cahill would be perfect characters for a remake of a 70s Francis Ford Coppola movie. What a bunch of dishonest crooked sleazeballs.🙁
@pavyg Darkest period in the history of tennis. There is more honesty and decency in some notorious Chicago neighborhoods than on the ATP Tour right now. 😢
@pavyg Sounds like Sinner found a loophole in the anti doping system and tennis players will have a big incentive to hire only team members with "chronic conditions" in the years to come.🤐
Giacomo Naldi sul ritorno di Umberto Ferrara nel team di Jannik Sinner 🎙
"Ecco, ci risiamo. Ora ricomincia l'incubo, come nell'estate scorsa. Non ho alcuna intenzione di commentare, è una storia che mi ha amareggiato troppo, ha danneggiato la mia immagine.
Quando sarà il momento opportuno parlerò di tutto con calma. Non voglio rovinarmi anche questa vacanza. Ma adesso vorrei solo essere lasciato in pace. Preferisco non commentare. Magari un giorno lo farò, ma ora fa troppo male"
