Housebound and elderly etc will not be able to eat.

The reason it's likely Starmer will win is not because members want to ditch socialism, its because a huge chunk of them are ultra Remainers who loved Starmer for his referendum position & never want to be confronted with the uncomfortable truth about how it lost us a GE.

If its Starmer and Rayner, then the LP will implode like PASOK did. There would literally be no point of voting for such a party. Coupled with Blairite councils still implementing austerity and cuts,it would be the finished recipe for political oblivion.
