The funeral service for Sergeant Hooser will take place Monday May 13th, 2024 at the UCCU Center in Orem.

Expect road closures from Orem to Santaquin during the afternoon procession. Please plan ahead if you wish to line up along the route or plan to travel through the area.

We joined many, many others in paying respects as Sergeant Hooser was brought back home to Santaquin.

On 5/6/24, there will be a procession beginning at 10:30 to bring the fallen Santaquin Officer back to Santaquin. At 12:00 noon there will be a media briefing at Santaquin City Hall, 110 South Center, with information about the fallen Officer, and more about today’s incident.

1/8/24 Update - The cause of the fire was determined by the Spanish Fork City fire marshal to be a radiant heater too close to a chair in the garage.

SFPD and SFFE on scene of serious traffic accident Highway 6 & Center Street involving semi and passenger car. Expect traffic delays on Highway 6 for the next hour.

The fire restriction placed on July 27, 2023, has been lifted effective today.
Although the restriction has been lifted, the vegetation in the Oaks area is dry and the risk of wildfire still exists. We ask all recreating to be careful with campfires/charcoal.
