CR3 will be used for too long again and the next generation MBT are probably further away than we think.

If you spot one there is likely more nearby. Airbust 155mm fire mission and you likely have a Troop out of action.

To add, anyone that states Jackal (HMTV) provides better recce capabilities because you have situation awareness being outside a armoured box.

Id love them to see a JAGUAR, using integrated TI sights and hitting a Jackal at 2.5km before the gunner clears water from his Binos.

You could quite literally rebuild 1DIV from the vehicles below. Same vehicles as our closest European Ally, large numbers deployed in FLF areas already.

However we will continue with UOR vehicles, extend (but do nothing) life for another 10 years and pat ourselves on the back.

Infantry Bns are absolutely scared and its politically easier to removed CS/CSS units which are actually needed.

Rangers* are a brand new unit and some of the best guys we've got.

I think the British Army should never have amalgamated its regiments.
It should have retained all of them.
It could have made each company in a battalion carry the regiment’s name to keep it alive.
It could then have done the same with the Army Reserve.
Just a thought for tradition.

Should've left it as CS, it worked fine that way.

21RE staying with 25 Engineer Group.

If only the RE units didnt have more mobility than the Infantry they support.

4X on TCV and the RE Sqns are mounted on MRW.
