So here's where I am if you want to head on over. I'm too old for this *gestures generally my feed*

@WCXXVI@DrFrancesRyan@Philippa_Perry Yes, it's possible they're wrong. It's also possible that the clinician is too. If we look at how many women & girls have been historically sent away with "just anxiety" instead of investigating ADHD & Autism, there's a wider discussion to be had.
@WCXXVI@DrFrancesRyan@Philippa_Perry It's a possibility. But clinicians also run that risk.
It took 20 years from first reporting joint pain to a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos - with multiple clear physical symptoms.
Working with patients, rather than ignoring that they know their own bodies is important.
@PolygonHouse @eddiemarsan I'm a cis woman. I've not once felt unsafe near a trans woman.
Cis men make me fear for my safety, and almost every argument I've seen cites male violence
The root of the argument stems from a decrease in safety. If violence against women was taken seriously we wouldn't be here
@sillyoldjen@DrFrancesRyan@CoastalK8 If I'm honest, I'm not an advocate of boarding where there's an alternative. September broke my heart every year.
There's a good reason I now teach home educated kids & home educated my own through secondary.
@GRODSTER@EmpathyandTrust@annastefaniphot Because only 5% of those reported in the UK end in a charge. Many more don't report because they can't go through being retraumatized. At least in this way, they'll have more support - which is incredibly sad.
@ratboy101203@LucyWoodslucy70 A large majority don't, no. Because they are much smaller, many were either rebuilt already or new builds. Secondary schools are much larger & retain these legacy buildings from the 50s.
@pantsinspace @Bill_Esterson That's an easy answer. It comes from central government from the school buildings maintenance budget. Guess who was Chancellor & cut that by 50% in 2021?
Plenty of home educators watching this & having their decisions affirmed.
@vueling I've noticed that you don't allow walking sticks in cabin luggage. I require crutches to move about & although I have booked airport assistance, will I be allowed to have my crutches during the flight? (Eg. To get to the toilet)
@Rhys99375508@Tesco@MartinSLewis Exactly the same here. The irony of the "here to help" from @tesco underneath is not lost.
I'm bemused at why they didn't expect this level of server load when withdrawing offers.
If we reach this goal, big things will change.
For the price of a coffee a month, you can give me the career of entertaining you. I would LOVE that honor, and I'll even send you a 1-1 thank you video!
@JamGloom@emmafinlay78 @gc_feminist @bullrike An important question for this thread: were you flashed by a trans woman or cis man?
Either way, it shouldn't happen & in no way is your fault. However, context is important based on the thread.
I do agree with the net bearing the blame for enabling a lot of behaviour
@bullrike@aberamentho@emmafinlay78 Really? Perhaps you'd like to have a chat with me about the literal stones thrown at my trans son for "betraying his sex".
I'm sorry that so many of us have been affected by SA, but you're aiming your anger at an easy target rather than the actual perpetrators & causes.
@JaneyGodley Saying goodbye to my kids as I was carted off to A&E with sepsis peak pandemic. Being frightened & unable to lipread in hospital without my husband to translate.
Kate had to walk next to her sister-in-law... the horror.
@earth_andrew Bucket list.
Admittedly, I'm still dragging myself towards those MSc credits, but fully intent on turning it into a PhD in digital education.
