Umama Fatema is Extraordinary.

She’s one of the few prominent student activist from the July Uprising who didn't use her fame to make a buck unlike the NCP "National Leaders"

But it’s more than that.

She turned down the US State Department’s award the moment she realized it was being used to whitewash Israel’s brutal assault on Palestine.

She stood tall against the powerful corrupt leaders of NCP who were meddling in the operations of SAD and forced her to resign because her honesty didn't meet the job requirements and standards of the NCP/SAD. Her honesty and her refusal to play the polished PR game are exactly why she’s being targeted by the NCP and their allies.

Post-Exit, She is now being targeted heavily by NCP and SAD members because she has exposed that the criminals arrested recently had access and protection from the main coordinators of SAD.

Their IT Cell or as I like to call them are aggressively harassing and bullying her online.

But that’s also what makes her extraordinary. In a political field full of masks and rehearsed lines, she’s raw, fearless, and unapologetically human. I can only hope she stays strong, stays loud, and takes this fight all the way into politics.

Whether as a Politician or as an Activist, her voice is important.
Because if the July Revolution could speak, it would sound exactly like her.

একটা অবজারভেশন বলি। এক গ্রুপ জুলাই আন্দোলনের সময় মোহিনী চৌধুরীর"মুক্তিরও মন্দির সোপান তলে"গেয়ে নিজেদের বহু কন্টেন্ট বানাল। পরে হয়ে গেল হিন্দু সংস্কৃতির আগ্রাসন। আন্দোলনে খুব সোনার বাংলা গাইল,পরে গিয়ে জাতীয় সংগীতই চায় না! সামনে এলো রবীন্দ্র ঘৃণা...

দুইটা ঘটনা ঘটলো। একজনকে চাদা না দেয়ার জন্য হত্যা আর আরেকজন, যে কিনা একজন ইমাম, তাকেই এক চরমপন্থী আঘাত করলো।

কিন্তু অবাক হবার মতো ব্যপার হলো যে এত কোর্ডিনেটেড ভাবে সবাইকে উসকানো হচ্ছে শুধু একটা ইস্যুতে। ইমাম এর তেমন কোনো খবর ই নাই। তার কারণ কি?

উত্তর হলো ইমাম এর বিচার চেয়ে কোনও ক্ষমতা অর্জন করবেনা এই একদল ক্ষমতা-পিপাসু গোষ্ঠী। আজকে যদি ব্যপার টা এমন হতো যে ইমাম এর বিচার চেয়ে রাজ পথে নেমে সরকার পরিবর্তন করা সম্ভব হত অথবা প্রতিপক্ষকে গুরুতর ভাবে আঘাত আনা যেতো, তাহলে সবাই ইমাম কে নিয়েই স্লোগান দিতো।

সবই ক্ষমতার খেলা এখন। কেউই বাস্তবে দেশের ভালো কোনটা তা জানে না, জানতে চায় ও না।

সুতরাং, অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ ঠিক ই করবেন, কিন্তু নিজের বুদ্ধি-বিবেচনা দিয়ে। অন্য করো উস্কানি তে অন্যের অ্যাজেন্ডা বাস্তবায়ন কইরেন না।

আমার অবাক লাগে, যে জুলাই-আগস্ট সাপোর্ট করলাম এতো দৃঢ় ভাবে, এরই মধ্যে একদল এখন আমাকে, আমার মতো নন-পলিটিকাল নন-আলট্রা-রেডিকাল মানুষকে শাহবাগী, দালাল, মুরতাদ, সাতিম, সেকু** আর কত কি শুনতে হলো।

জুলাই কি একটা রিলিজিয়াস রেভলিউশন ছিলো?

না, জুলাই সবার ছিলো। রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো যেমন জুলাই কে একক ভাবে ক্রেডিট নেয়ার মতো নেক্কারজনক কাজ করার চেষ্টা করেছিল, তেমনই এখন যেভাবে আলট্রা-রাইট রা জুলাই কে নিজেদের পার্সোনাল ট্রফি বানানোর জোরপূর্বক চেষ্টা করে অত্যন্ত নিকৃষ্ট চরিত্রের পরিচয় দিচ্ছে। আর এরা এটাও বুঝে না যে এসব করে ওরা বালেরই অ্যাজেন্ডা বাস্তবায়ন করতেসে।

এজন্য আর কাউকেই বিশ্বাস করি না আমি এখন। সহজ হিসাব। যেহেতু অন্তর্বর্তী সরকার আইন প্রয়োগ করতে পারছে না, নির্বাচন দিয়ে দেয় হোক। যে ই জিতুক, অন্তত রুল অফ ল প্রয়োগ করুক ঠিক মতো।

Both incident has the same root cause - lack of sufficient rule of law.

If people were fearful of the law, they would hesitate. But they don’t. It’s better to have military rule than the current situation.
