Good article that I agree with, although it left out one crucial aspect: The deep distrust for professional game reviewers that large swaths of the gaming community, understandably, have. The disconnect between review scores and audience reception - in both directions - has been stark far too many times for gamers to take a 10/10 from IGN as anything than a red flag these days.

@uranus_from @Veliful This. Voice actor and former audio engineer here. I use in ears while streaming and I couldn't do it without monitoring. I always have my own voice in my ears. Obviously it has to be latency free. Any kind of delay would make it impossible.
