@MBristow_Smith @NCLeg Let’s put this in real perspective. A teacher in 2008 at the top of the scale was paid $52,550 by the state and $2,365 in longevity pay, for a total of $54,915. A teacher at the top of the scale in this new budget will be paid $55,100–an increase $185 over the past 15 years.
