This is why D’banj never got going after the MoHits split.
Don Jazzy wasn’t just making beats he jumped on—they had a connection that meant even when D’banj wasn’t singing just their ad libs complimented each other perfectly and was already music all by themselves.
D’banj doesn’t have to try too hard when he’s on a Don Jazzy beat—everything just sounds right because it just…flows.
The only other producer who connected with D’banj anywhere close to this level was Doktah Frabz (RIP), as seen on songs like Ja Si & Whine Am Well.
It’s very much like the Snoop & Dre connection—Snoop simply doesn’t sound nearly as good on any other producer’s beats.
It is dismaying to see the magnitude of the backlash this post is generating. Most of these comments are just lazy disqualifications to dodge conviction, relying on a barrage of strawman arguments to attack the man instead of the message.
There is nothing wrong with a Pastor addressing cultural trends that shape the mindset of believers. The content of his message is simple: separation from the world.
No message is more highly needed right now than this. The timing is inconsequential because we need to face the truth being spoken.
@EmmyLarge@LANREWAJU_ Yes but Left wing in Arteta's system require huge defensive duties. Eze is not that player
It will be a big misprofiling of a player
@SirLeoBDasilva 'Project moved past him' is crazy. The highest trophy you can win is the Champions league. Guess who your best player in the competition was last year - Fucking Martinelli
Arsenal fans are truly a despicable bunch. Let's see how you cope with forward runners in the team
@asemota Also learning that UBA trains then to go by first name basis, like a flat structured system is informing.
A tad audacious but she probably didn't expect the Chairman to not go by the policy of his own company.
A real slippery slope!
The third world isn't a place, it's a people.
Third world countries exist because they are full of third world people.
If you send every German to Nigeria and every Nigerian to Germany, in 5 years, Nigeria will become a civilized nation and Germany will become a third world.
At your level, engagement is endorsement!
That you don't know that is a big problem. Fela would not have the same influence and impact if he 'engaged' with the military junta of his days.
I seriously doubt that you fully understand your 'fight'.
And for the ones who continue to blab about “dining”, “frolicking “ etc. That’s a delusional narrative for honoring a president’s invite. But if we apply your “Dining” logic broadly to others, your hypocrisy becomes obvious and you will scramble to make excuses.
The truth is I will continue to engage the government wherever necessary because it’s a duty of leadership. Not easy but necessary for the sake of the children and for solutions. Engagement is not endorsement.
My fight is different, and your own fight is valid. But take it to the appropriate quarters and quit wasting your time here.
My oga has said I should leave you people alone now, so, as you were…
Respectively, nothing about Sanwo Olu's Administration is fantastic especially given the resources he had at his disposal. Nothing he did has moved Lagos to the next stage of development.
Marginal difference, yes but nothing revolutionary.
Jide Sanwoolu, by all accounts, is a fantastic governor.
By all account - top 5 Nigerian Governors in the past 4 years & he's not number 5.
However, nothing he does equates what he did in 2020. How he spat on the graves of the young people that died.
I will FOREVER hate him.
Oladélé, this is the logical next step from the conversation we had yesterday. If you still remember, I argued about how we subconsciously shrink God to fit our finite human clock. Today, your question shows how we shrink God to fit human utility.
The question of "what is their purpose" assumes that the universe is centered around human beings. We subconsciously think that if humans cannot live on a planet, build houses on it, or use its resources, then it is a waste of space. However, the universe was not created to be a human terrarium. It is theocentric. That is, it is centered around the Creator, not us as humans.
To make it even clearer, think about it like this. A great king does not build a big palace because he intends to sleep in every single room. He builds it to reflect the scale of his power, his majesty, his wealth, and his sovereignty.
If we apply this analogy to an infinite Creator, what does that tells you? It means that if God only created one tiny rock called Earth suspended in an empty void, it would not reflect infinite majesty.
The terrifying vastness of space, the billions of galaxies, the brightness of stars, and the countless planets are there to force the human mind to look up and realize how incredibly small we are, and how immensely powerful He is.
As a Muslim, I am forced to reflect how the Almighty God in the Quran addresses our human arrogance directly. In Surah Ghafir 40:57, Allah states that the creation of the heavens and the earth is far greater than the creation of mankind, but most people do not know.
If we reflect on this, we would see that we are just a fraction of the story. The rest of the cosmos is fulfilling its own purpose and glorifying Him in ways we do not comprehend.
Having said that, even on a purely physical and mechanical level, those other planets in our solar system serve a direct purpose for our survival.
Take Jupiter and Saturn for specifics. Those huge gas giants act as cosmic shields. Their immense gravity pulls in comets and rogue asteroids that would have otherwise struck Earth and wiped out life long ago. They are standing guard in the dark so you can live down here.
God did not create anything as a meaningless accessory. Every single rock floating in the dark has a purpose. We are just too focused on ourselves to see the broader architecture.
Allah knows best.
