You're thinking of how light blends color additively, but I believe Roblox handles transparency closer to color picking from a digital gradient. Great on vibrant colors which can afford to dim but pretty rough on darker tones

@Ethodica @Twin_Atlas Good question! Biggest reason was to get a clean UV map, which lets me to use the texture space more efficiently. Very important on an R6 rig since it can shrink hat textures down smaller than a 256x256!

If it's less than a wk, especially within 24h, take it with a grain of salt bc they likely just joined just to send fake evidence to get someone banned

@c0re0s @r4y319 I'm sorry, but with how prominently Roblox has been leaning into GenAI lately I find that hard to believe. Can we get any proof the more complex scenes were human made? Photoshop layers, different angles of a rendering scene, concept art, anything?

@Dynabroth Personal opinion but I think Roblox is scared of early material being used in court. In the NMPA v Roblox case, there were a few blog posts sourced to imply Roblox encouraged unlicensed music. Awful reason to bury over a decade of history, but the only explanation I can think of.

@RSMs_Dev Will never get 1:1 with modern Roblox rendering, but we can get pretty close! Here I'm using a matte RoughnessMap to tone down the highlights, and used fresh normals data for the brim.
