RFK Jr got a new ingredient approved to be used in sunscreen called bemotrizinol

It’s a much safer ingredient for sunscreen that’s been used in Europe for decades

It provides great broad-spectrum protection for both (UVA + UVB), is photostable, has low skin absorption and its well-tolerated. It has lots of advantages over many older US-approved chemical filters

In response NPR wrote a piece of the new ingredient but fails to mention it was Robert F Kennedy Jr who promised to get it approved and then fast tracked the approval process to make us healthier

Be extremely careful around area with ticks

These 2 ticks came off a dog on Pennsylvania. They were sent in for testing and identified as deer ticks both positive for anaplasmosis. This a bacteria that both people and dogs can get, and it causes fever, chills, loss of appetite, muscle pain

The ticks were sent into Pennsylvania Tick Research Lab which is free for Pennsylvania residents

Non-PA residents pay $50+ per tick depending on the panel (Basic, Advanced, Comprehensive)
