JUST IN: Long Island MP Adrian Gibson is being charged with fraud, conspiracy to commit bribery, and conspiracy to commit fraud on a total of 31 counts.
The Free National Movement stands "in solidarity" with embattled MP for Long Island Adrian Gibson who is "innocent until proven guilty", according to a press statement from the Leader of the Official Opposition Michael Pintard.
Gibson is charged along with former Water & Sewerage general manager, Elwood Donaldson; Rashae Gibson, cousin of the MP; Joan Knowles, a civilian on Long Island; Jerome Missick, civilian; Tonya Demeritte, civilian; and Peaches Farquharson, civilian.
Long Island MP Adrian Gibson is facing 31 charges.
He is not required to enter a plea today and the matters will proceed by way of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.

It's Budget Season!! One of my favorite times of year.
I encourage all Bahamians to tune in every to learn the health of our national finances and what priorities the government plans to fund for the year ahead.
Today, young people from across The Bahamas will be sitting in the House of Assembly as a part of Youth in Parliament. We wish all young people who are participating today well, especially our very own Mr. Tayte Adderley (Mount Moriah) and Ms. Shelby Bowe (Killarney).
This is the first Youth in Parliament to be held entirely in person since 2019.
In light of a spate of national tragedies, the two topics for discussion today are Gender-based violence and Mental Health.
