The Alpenglow feature gate is active on testnet. The 5,000 slot countdown is running, ~17 minutes to the migration boundary.

At the boundary: validators confirm the final TowerBFT block at 82% of stake, then Votor takes over on testnet.

The Alpenglow community cluster rehearsed the migration numerous times and has been running Alpenglow for over 4 months.

Reminder, SIMD-0525 features take effect one epoch after they activate thus will go live at the epoch 1037 boundary ~05:01 UTC, Friday Sept 18.

Yesterday we identified and reported an issue hitting vote performance for 40+ Solana validators connected to @doublezero.

Root cause: a misconfig on @Bitwise's validator with 3M $SOL staked was blackholing vote transactions.

Complex problem, fast diagnosis by our tech team.
