Serious question @KVOA:

If a reporter is allegedly given advance notice of an arrest, scouts a location beforehand, confirms a suspect is present, coordinates timing with law enforcement, and then immediately airs a prepared story once the arrest happens… where is the line between journalism and becoming part of the operation?

Media critics often refer to these types of situations as “staged journalism,” “media setups,” or potential media-law enforcement collusion.

The public deserves transparency. Were reporters simply covering the news, or were they given special access and advance coordination that ordinary media outlets and citizens didn’t receive?

Fair question. Fair game. We are watching!

@BrianEntin I'm suspicious of everyone now. Something about this case hasn't smelled right, right from jump, and the longer it goes on, the more weird things come to the surface. Yet, the family, friends & neighbors have seemingly just 'moved on'. Weird with a capital W.

I'm gonna say what a lot of people were thinking, but are much more respectful than me to not say it: it never really felt like Savannah actively did a lot during this process, those first few weeks.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn't, but I'm talking about perception. Imagine if this was your mother, and you're a celebrity with essentially unlimited funds. I know I would be posting damn near daily, paying people and organizing searches, and...hiring a f'n private investigator. Again, MAYBE she did some of this, but it definitely doesn't seem like it. And she definitely didn't post or go live about this a lot. Since we didn't see it.

@BrianEntin She has done nothing to find her mother. She just offers rewards to everyone else to look for her. I pray Nancy is found and I’m sorry she is missing, but her family is not searching at all. The focus should be on finding Nancy!!!

Nothing about this case makes any sense unless something happened that we don't know about. For instance, what if they knew that Nancy Guthrie was already dead or severely wounded when she was taken from the home? What if they have video which shows this was a much worse crime from the beginning? That knowledge would explain why they never paid the ransom, never hired a private investigator, and never asked for more help from the public.

If they knew it was already too late then all of their strange behaviors and lack of urgency would make sense because nothing else does.

Basically, the media, the neighbors, the family, the sheriff, and others all appear complicit in one way or another in the disappearance of #NancyGuthrie, whether through negligence or active negligence. It seems they are hiding something in the #CatalinaFoothills and do not want anyone around .

Monica Garcia reporting from in front of Nancy Guthrie’s house, her car parked on the street, and inside information the sheriff was going to make arrests. BTW Monica I saw you driving around the neighborhood about 1 hour before the arrests, snapping photos. I will never watch KVOA again

@Speedster33 My guess is the family wants to move on with the house, 4 months paying juice on that estate (& knowing months to come) is hemorrhaging their inheritance. they didn’t want memorial or streamers in listing photos.
