The next big test for progressives are Colorado’s primaries on June 30th. Diana DeGette has a 29-year-old democratic socialist challenger in Melat Kiros, and Hickenlooper has Julie Gonzales coming for his Senate seat.
This is gonna be fun.
AP calls it for DAC.
Adriano Espaillat, chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, has been defeated in the Democratic primary for New York's 13th congressional district. Zohran goes three for three.
Just utter domination from NYC-DSA, Mamdani, AOC & Bernie-backed candidates up and down the ballot.
WFP is doing well at the state leg level + Lander, but lost their marquee race in NY-07.
Union-backed candidates (in most cases the establishment ones) are having a bad night.
State Assembly early vote (and maybe some early Election Day vote?) update in key races:
AD-36:
Diana Moreno (DSA-backed) will win
AD-37:
Samantha Kattan (DSA-backed) will win
AD-38:
David Orkin (DSA-backed) is up 55-45 over incumbent Jennifer Rajkumar
AD-54:
Christian Celeste Tate (DSA-backed) is up 60-40 over incumbent Erik Dilan
AD-56:
Eon Huntley (DSA-backed) is up 54-41 over incumbent Stefani Zinerman
AD-65:
Illapa Sairitupac (DSA-backed) is up 36-19 over his closest competitor
AD-69:
Eli Northrup (WFP-backed) leads Stephanie Ruskay 60-40
AD-70:
Incumbent Jordan Wright leads Conrad Blackburn (DSA-backed) 55-45
Procrastinators rejoice: it's not too late to vote! I just turned in my ballot at the drop box at the county building at 2100 S State Street. Join us in the fight for clean air and a green new deal, an end to stupid wars overseas, and to get big money out of politics. Any registered voter can vote in the Democratic primary–if you didn't get a ballot, stop at a polling place by 8 PM tonight. You can still register in person and vote! If you still have a mail ballot sitting around, drop it in a drop box by 8 PM. This is the biggest election we've ever had as Democrats in Utah. Don't miss out!
We’re getting straight up xenophobic, racist lies from @DeGette5280 in the 11th hour before her primary next week.
The same woman who lies about having @AOC’s endorsement.
AOC still has time to make it clear that she doesn’t stand by these harmful lies.
When centrist Dems win, progressives support them in the general.
But now that the primary voters chose a progressive, some DC pundits do not want to support @dunlap4congress ?
Give me a break.
This would be self sabotage and then the establishment will spread lies about how progressives can't win swing districts.

WE CAN ALL MAKE A MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE
Adriano Espaillat is on retirement watch, regardless of what happens tonight. The irony of all this is he ran the same playbook against Charlie Rangel. He actually lost to Rangel twice. If Avila Chevalier is north of 40%, despite her tweet scandals, Espaillat is on the way out.
NY-7 and NY-13 are close.
We can change anything, tonight and tomorrow, together.

New York friends — tomorrow is Election Day! If you live in NY-13 (Uptown & portions of The Bronx) get out and vote for @DarializaforNY
I’m endorsing Dari because she is has spent her life fighting relentlessly for justice. That’s exactly the kind of energy we need in Congress.
