I urge you not to make the same mistakes previous generations have made. Don't look 1 year into the future about what is best for you. Look 20 years for what is best for the next generation. We say we are different, so prove it.
If that happened, maybe we would already be a fully green energy country. Because people would want to buy from the better more green power companies. But instead, the government doesn't need to go green because they have a monopoly on power.
You all want the internet to be a government controlled entity like power lines. But think about it. If power was never controlled by government, power companies would have been forced to innovate technologies for cheaper and better power.
It's a very unpopular opinion for people my age but net neutrality is actually a bad thing. In the short run without net neutrality, prices may go up, yes. But in the long run, setting prices and regulations on technology stifles innovation.
As millennials, we need to be careful of just saying "save net neutrality" because someone throws out the phrase "free internet." Please look at the negatives of net neutrality with a completely open mind before choosing your side.
If #NetNeutrality is repealed:
• Netflix will cost $199 per second
• $800 fine if you say MySpace
• Your iPhone will strangle you
• The entirety of Manhattan will be zombies except for one man
• Annual reaping of children will be instated
• The Lorax shows up
• Sharknado
