#Napoli are officially not for sale, but that hasn’t stopped Underdog Global Partners (UGP) and its investors from continuing takeover talks that began around six months ago.

The consortium’s proposal reportedly includes major infrastructure investment, particularly plans to privatise and redevelop the Stadio Diego Maradona. Negotiations have slowed due to several concerns raised by Aurelio De Laurentiis, though UGP still hopes to resolve the issues and reopen discussions.

If De Laurentiis eventually accepted the offer, it would represent one of the biggest profits in sports ownership history, considering he originally bought Napoli for less than 2% of the consortium’s current valuation offer.
