Levi Strauss & Co. patented the blue jean in 1873 and paved the way for workwear in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This poster featured in A. L. Gibson’s Dry Goods Store showcases early Levi’s advertising.👖
We were sorry about closing last week but, without water, we had no choice. We are sorry about any inconveniences it may have caused.
Starting January 3, we will return to our normal daytime hours and we will get ready for our 122nd Spindletop Anniversary on January 14.
We are reopening tomorrow! We will still have the lights! Our hours this week will be Tuesday through Saturday 2-9. We will be closed New Year's Day. You can still bring 5 non-perishable food items to equal 1 admission. The gusher will still blow at 5:30 Friday evening.
Unfortunately, we will have to close from 4 pm today for the rest of the week due to our water being shut off before the deep freeze. Please stay tuned if we can open next Tuesday. We are disappointed we can't continue our City in Lights until next week.
Don't miss your chance to come out to the museum to see Christmas in Boomtown: City in Lights! We are open tonight until 9. Bring your non-perishable items for the Southeast Texas Food Bank (5 equals 1 admission)!
Thank you to Kim Brent photography and The Beaumont Enterprise for featuring our Christmas in Boomtown event. Don’t miss this fun event! https://t.co/oTpf18lPmm
Tonight we will have Santa and Mrs. Claus & others read stories. The @BeaumontPublic Library System will be with us. We have the gusher at 5:30. Our snowball forts are up & ready. Pictures can be taken on our spring wagon. The Seascouts Ship 1916 will be selling food.

Just 3 more days away. Remember our new December hours from 2-9 pm on Tuesday through Saturday and 5-9 pm on Sunday. We will be closed holidays and Mondays. This starts on December 1. Also, 5 non-perishable food items equals 1 admission! The food will be given to @SETXFoodBank.
