💫 Dr. Absi was born in Lebanon and moved to Montreal, Canada in 1976. While living there, he completed his medical schooling and orthopedic surgery training.
MRI:
🧲 Uses magnetic fields and radio waves to take images
🧲 Primarily used to view the spinal cord and soft tissues, such as muscles and ligaments
🧲 May take between 20 minutes to an hour and is considered quite noisy
🧲 No metal is allowed in the MRI room due to the magnets
🩻 X-Ray vs. MRI 🧲
Although X-rays and MRIs both capture images of internal structures, they have very different processes.
