I have never seen this image before but it sent chills down my spine. I havenโt commented much about the locker room situation here on twitter, because to be honest I am still processing how challenging it was to change 18 times a week with a male present.
This image below actually happened. Our team was on training trip and there were young girls (as young as 4-5 years old) that used the same locker room. A 6โ4 male actually changed next to a small girl. The guilt of witnessing this is something I cannot stop thinking about. We as a society failed to allow this to happen.
It was one thing to subject myself and my teammates to this, we were all adults, but a young child is unacceptable and heartbreaking.
Iโve never hated a month so much in my life, constantly being bombarded every 5 minutes with propaganda from the White House on who people want to have sex with.
Iโm tired of the constant parading of sexuality. Thereโs no reason to be uplifting the pride flag to the same standards and honor as the American flag.
Lydia Owens recently delivered a speech at the Woodmont High School graduation ceremony, where she was recognized as the school's Valedictorian and Senior Class President. Lydia is the daughter of our Executive Pastor, Brian Owens. So it might not surprise you that she mentioned Jesus in her speech, but this young lady took it to the next level.
In her 3-minute address, Lydia boldly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ. She clearly communicated that Jesus alone determines value, defines success, provides real satisfaction, and gives us hope when everything around us falls apart. She unashamedly made much of her Savior.
Lydia lost her mom just under 2 years ago, and it was an incredibly challenging time for her and the family (as well as our church). Her testimony, however, speaks to the gospel that her mom taught her to trust. My heart danced as I listened to this beautiful example of grace and truth standing in front of her classmates.
Brian Owens is one of my best friends in life, and truly a hero of a dad. So I am proud of Lydia as her Pastor, but maybe even more so as a friend to her dad. She lives her faith and is willing to shout it for the whole world to hear.
Yes, tragedy struck Lydia's life, and its impact was great. But she is a living example that God's grace is greater!
Itโs a shame that the @Dodgers want to give such perversion a platform. Theyโre hosting an event honoring LGBTQ Pride and inviting a group that calls itself the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence whose very goal seems to be mocking the Catholic faith. The Bible says, โDo not be deceived, God is not mockedโฆโ (Galatians 6:7).
