After 25 years, we burned the playbook. Spinfirm is a modern reimagination of PR, disrupting the industry with high-impact, virtual communications strategy.
Thanks to the @stpaulpublicw crew out restoring the streetlights at 5th and Kennard this morning. This isn't even my neighborhood, but as it's playground adjacent the kids and I caught them in action and know it means our street just moved one higher on the city to do list.
This isn't trimming the fat. This isn't even cutting to the bone. The proposed newsroom cuts, if completed, will strike marrow. The Vulture Capitalists at Alden have vacuumed up every spare dime they can find in this newspaper and this town.
Its time.

So this just happened. The St. Paul @PioneerPress newsroom just handed and then read aloud a letter to (Denver-based Media News parent company) management: stop gutting this newspaper! It hurts St. Paul, it hurts the east metro, and it hurts the good people of Minnesota to have fewer eyes at the State Capitol, at City Hall, on your kids’ school district and on the public purse. The deadline set by management for 2-3 newsies to apply for voluntary departure benefits was Monday. We’ll know more on that front shortly. A message to Alden Global Capital: Trimming us more for your hedge fund profits is just wrong.
If I’m the #mnwild GM (and for the record, I’m not) I think the next play is this: Offer Hughes the same contract — 8 years at $20.4m) right now. If Quinn insists on three years, max, offer $17m per year. Make longevity worth it.
@AlexHatesSJ@RussoHockey Right? Maybe a lineup that includes Viking Gustafsson Nyberg and Jagger Joshua will help us all forget that Dylan Larkin is still in Detroit and Anders Lee picked Utah over us.
@RussoHockey@AnthonyLaPanta Why are we giving up on Samuel Hlavaj? Seems to me, a team whose bus has a flat tire that may not be fixed in time for the season should retain their goalie options, not shed them. Hlavaj seemed to be good in the Olympics.
