@DaleksC I take the files from MakeMKV. Use Hybrid to deinterlace (with 'bob' enabled) to 50fps. It does mean re-encoding, though.

@Perthtwit @BritishComedy Very usual. They copied to B/W film to sell to countries who didn't have colour TV yet. They stopped this around 1974. Alot of shows from that era only survive on B/W film, after the original VTs were wiped. Software exists now to recover the colour signal, in alot of cases.

@ThatsChroma @filmisfabulous Agree. You already lose picture to overscan when telerecording. Now cropped even more. Also footage of Kert in ep 1 hasn't been replaced with the original surviving film. So it's cropped & out of phase. Hopefully this will get the proper treatment for Blu Ray.
