Organized in the year 2000, Spirit’s Association of Flight Attendants (SPR AFA) has worked to improve the working conditions, benefits, and pay for Spirit Crews
Our last FA CBA was ratified in 2016. Six years later in 2022, inflation is up 23.40% YTD. So why is Spirit only offering a 7% pay raise for frontline employees? Our local fast food restaurants pay more annually to entry level employees. https://t.co/Ys1LJze3dY

@Vegaz23 “AFA rejected management’s demand during negotiation to increase the threshold to 720 hours. We resisted until the very last moment when management made it known that there was no deal unless we agreed to increase the threshold to 600 hours. “

We’re joining together to take on major airlines and their contractors who are jacking up prices and paying low wages. And we’re asking elected officials to choose whose side they are on. We’re saying: Are you on our side or not? https://t.co/2nKmhj8YII
Airport workers are the ones that help make sure you can safely travel to see your family for the holidays. We show up to work every single day to make air travel possible. It's time we all have living wages and affordable healthcare. #GoodAirports
USDOT is concerned by Southwest’s unacceptable rate of cancellations and delays & reports of lack of prompt customer service. The Department will examine whether cancellations were controllable and if Southwest is complying with its customer service plan.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg talks to CNN's @wolfblitzer about the "unacceptable situation" unfolding at Southwest Airlines as they canceled thousands of flights and describes a conversation he had with the airline's CEO. Watch here: https://t.co/E4w73pHEeA
The unacceptable chaos at @southwestair is a reflection of SWA leadership. Bosses repeatedly fail to listen to TWU concerns, leaving our members w/out fair contracts & now they are stranding 1000s of passengers during the busy holiday season. Blame the bosses, not the workers.
