In yesterday's game, Lyle Thompson (Onondaga) wore a orange ribbon in his hair to honor the indigenous children that never returned home from residential/boarding schools, for the children of the children that did & for all indigenous relatives that are still grieving and healing
“We played it when this earth was covered with water. On the other side the game was played before the earth.” — Oren Lyons, Faithkeeper Onondaga Nation 🎥 @SpiritGameLax @IRQ_Nationals

“For the space of healing, an individual or community might call for a [Medicine] Game, and in order to play in the game you must have a wood stick.
There’s medicine in the ball, there’s medicine in the stick, and in that traditional Medicine Game"

Greetings and hello to all, we know it’s end of the year giving season . We hope you can team up with the Thompson brothers by making a donation to support our mission. 🚀
I hope people understand why Zed Is holding his stick thru the ceremony.
He could care less about that trophy, it was never about that.
He understands the spiritual demension of lacrosse.
He personifies his stick,it treated him good today. And he appreciates/loves it for that
Zed Williams of The Iroquois Nationals and the Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club won game MVP in yesterday's @PremierLacrosse 's championship game- congrats Zed! Hard to imagine international lacrosse without some of the world's best players!

I support the Iroquois Nationals to be in the 2022 World Games in Birmingham. I’ve studied the history and there are strong precedents for the Iroquois to be represented in competition recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
So this is the same old story, different time in history.
As native people we’ll continue to run this ever lasting track of hurdles.
it’s timeless and exhausting but must continue to fight.
The colonizers don’t want Indigenous people to be native. Want us to be Canadian/American
“We want the world to know we have every intention of representing our people and the Creator’s Game in 2028”
The Nationals call on colleagues, teammates and fans to support this Olympic Dream. It’s time to raise the Haudenosaunee flag at the Olympics https://t.co/JYVYUQC5y6
