Building foundations, not stoking divisions. Real British patriotism means fixing our NHS, public services, and communities. Giving the grifters a reality check
Farage’s Reform isn’t a people’s revolt.
It’s a billionaire backed circus selling boats and culture war while your rent climbs, your bills sting and the NHS waits get longer.
They wave the flag so you never look up at the landlords, the privatised cartels and the donors funding the grift. Farage left Brussels to become a full time professional outsider on the private jet circuit. Same failed economics. New loudhailers. Rupert Lowe and the rest are just the latest salesmen.
Attlee built the NHS, homes and security for ordinary people with evidence and solidarity. Bevan fought the vested interests head on. That’s the spirit we fight in.
Foundations, not divisions.
Public ownership where markets fail. Homes people can actually live in. An NHS rescued from the asset strippers. Tax the wealth that’s been extracted from the rest of us.
This is the Spirit of Attlee.
Follow for the daily forensic dismantling of the Reform con and the fight for policies that serve the many.
Share if you’re done with the snake oil.
For the many. Not the Farages.
75 elite seasonal shearers who arrive, work the peak, leave. That’s the crisis.
Meanwhile 140,000+ organisations hold sponsor licences including the high street and convenience ops you list... corner shops, barbers, kebab shops, vape shops. Permanent routes continue.
The concession ran for 14 years under the Conservatives. Training numbers exist, the scale, pay and physical intensity of professional peak shearing do not magically produce enough domestic capacity in a short window.
Animal welfare is real, unshorn sheep suffer flystrike. So is rural depopulation driven by low wages, insecure work and land concentration.
Culture war nostalgia about “a nation built on wool” is easier than demanding living wages for farm workers, serious public apprenticeships with year round pathways, and an industrial strategy for the countryside that doesn’t treat seasonal skilled labour as a political football.
Fix the pay and the pipeline, not just the visas.

Your 2024 manifesto was a brochure written after you’d already shut Help to Buy and set the stamp duty relief to expire.
Two million social homes sold under the Tories.
A huge chunk now private rentals at market rates. Waiting lists grow. Young people in places like Thirsk and Malton locked out of ownership.
The under 35 recovery started on your watch and is still twenty points below the early 2000s peak.
So answer the only question that matters, how many former Right to Buy homes in your own constituency are now buy to let investments lining private portfolios including interests connected to the industry that made you rich?
We don’t need more expiring gimmicks. We need serious public housebuilding that stays public, warm, affordable, and built for families not for portfolios.

They spent years telling you Reform was controlled opposition.
Today the same voices are posting “I’m in” videos and calling it pragmatism.
This is not a realignment. This is the right’s content class admitting their purity spiral cannot deliver power, so they’re climbing back onto the only bus still moving.
Working people do not need another round of “hold your nose for the least bad nationalist”. They need wages that cover the rent, housing that is not a financialised asset class, and an NHS that is not being asset stripped.
The “politically homeless” were never homeless. They were sold a culture war while the economic ground was stolen from under them. Stop renting your anger to the highest bidder.

Kevin, timeline please.
Help to Buy England closed to new applicants under the Conservatives in March 2023.
The enhanced first time buyer stamp duty thresholds were a temporary Truss era measure that expired by design on 31 March 2025.
Neither government extended them.
Right to Buy has not been abolished. Discounts have been cut and eligibility hardened because two million social homes were sold and a large share are now private rentals charging market rates while waiting lists grow.
The modest recovery in under 35 ownership began in the mid 2010s under your governments and still leaves rates roughly twenty points below the early 2000s peak.
So which exact policy that Labour “scrapped” explains a recovery that was already underway, and how many of the former Right to Buy homes in Thirsk and Malton are now buy to let?
The numbers do not lie and the contradictions scream.
More than 250,000 evacuated in France, over 116,000 in Spain.
The Gironde blaze has burned 42,000 hectares...four times the size of Paris advancing to within seven miles of Bordeaux.
Cap Ferret peninsula emptied. Firestorms generating their own weather. Spain’s fire near Madrid now among its largest on record. Macron has called the situation the worst since the Second World War and finally admitted that French forests must be adapted to climate change.
A fresh heatwave midweek turns containment into a race against time.
Yet the political arsonists remain protected. Macron talks tough while his government has overseen continued fossil dependence and insufficient public investment in prevention.
In Spain the fires expose years of under resourcing after austerity. Cross the Channel and the pattern is identical.
Reform UK and Farage spent a decade dismissing every new extreme as “weather” or “the left exaggerating”. They take the fossil lobby line while ordinary families here face soaring insurance, cancelled holidays and the same heatwaves.
Follow the oil money and the think tank pamphlets that still claim net zero is the real threat as Europe burns.
This is class war by arson. The private jet set and the oil majors extract the profits. Working people and small businesses in the wine regions and tourist towns lose the homes and the livelihoods.
The Spirit of Attlee answer is public ownership of energy, mass public works for resilience and transition, and making the polluters pay. Anything less is rearranging deckchairs on a burning continent.
@Channel4News: Christopher Harborne registered as living in the UK to vote for Brexit & make large donations. Months later he stated he was based abroad. He used “gaping loopholes” in law to bankroll Reform while declaring home as both Thailand & the UK, to different authorities.
PM Burnham. You took office promising to end rough sleeping and give people breathing space on the cost of living. Seven days later your first foreign visitor is Zelenskyy and your first concrete announcement is the transfer of “Stone Cloak” electronic-warfare technology.
Exact questions, no spin:
How many more British billions after the existing £25 billion before the definition of “always” is revisited?
What is the upper limit of “long lasting and just peace” in pounds, years and British lives diverted from housing and heat pumps?
Why was the first signal of your premiership an arms tech transfer rather than the social housing and insulation programme that would cut emissions and bills simultaneously?
If the North’s waiting lists and fuel poverty are the acceptable price of elite resolve, say so plainly. The people who elected you deserve the arithmetic, not the rhetoric.

To every 18-24 year old watching the right cannibalise itself.
They have no answers for your rent, your wages, or the planet you’re inheriting.
They only have scapegoats. While Rupert Lowe counts write ins and Farage’s Reform haemorrhages to an even nastier vehicle, the real majority is still progressive.
Homes. Green jobs. Public ownership.
Tax the land and the wealth.
Don’t let race baiters own your anger. Build the future instead. The spirit of Attlee didn’t die it just grew a green edge. Join it.

They want you staring at a deleted T-shirt.
We want you staring at the energy bills, the rents, the NHS waiting lists and the climate chaos their mates profit from.
@ZackPolanski pulled the post the second it was flagged.
The Greens do not do death threats. What they do is wealth taxes, rent controls, public ownership and real climate action.
Farage and Reform will always try to drag every conversation into culture war theatre so you never notice who is actually taking the money.
Don’t take the bait.
Make the real plans.
People and planet over grifters and the 1%.
They are switching off the North’s eye on the universe.
Jodrell Bank. Lovell Telescope. UNESCO site. Apollo support. Cold War tracking. 28 jobs. Nearly 3,000 researchers. £2.8 million a year.
And the right’s only contribution is a dogwhistle about Pakistan.
This is not complicated. Public science is a public good. The same principle that built the NHS can keep the dish turning.
Demand Burnham intervenes. Ringfence pure research. Tax the wealth that hollowed out the North and fund the infrastructure that once made this country look up.
The stars are not a culture war. They are the people’s inheritance.
Save Jodrell Bank. Make them look up again.

Tommy Robinson's former camerawoman Lucy Brown accuses Robinson and his associates of spending thousands they received in public donations on cocaine.
She also threw shade at Danny Tommo and his past convictions.
Nigel Farage spent sixteen months perched on top of the polls on a diet of culture war bile and billionaire cheques.
One competent alternative appears under Burnham and the whole edifice wobbles.
Reform’s “antielite” brand collapses the second voters notice the elite actually writing the cheques.
Sixteen months of swagger, zero solutions for the cost of living, housing or the NHS just a travelling roadshow for intolerance. The grift is exposed. The numbers don’t lie.
