Engaging parents and caregivers in their child's healing allows them to heal their own hurts, acquire the skills and confidence to better support their child at home, and build resilience for the future. By engaging the entire family, we hope to heal generations!
Nature, and especially horses, invite us into our own authenticity—that is, to be ourselves entirely—by offering a safe, open space and healing presence. Within this authenticity, our clients learn how to set boundaries, maintain healthy relationships, and tell their story.
While the effects of trauma are not always visible, the body feels them all the same. Experiential approaches like equine therapy, art therapy, and play therapy help children, not only process past hurts as they remember them...but also as they felt them.
Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million—experiences mental illness in a given year. And 1 in 5 children, ages 13-18 live with a mental health condition. #MentalHealthAwarnessMonth
