@patrician_tv Standard weapon durability isn't the problem. Its when it becomes weapons as ammunition. New Legend of Zelda's make their weapon durability so low that activities that rewards weapons become wastes of time. Then there's games where its just not relevant. Rarely is it balanced.

Like okay, this is Larian the "We don't know what friendship is" studio. Because every god damn time I try to be nice or friendly I end up getting porked by my companions. The Epitome of a relationship is not sex, nor is that for a friendship. They DO need to diversify their relationships.

Less Romance, preferably no Romance. It often feels forced and Reddit-esque. Focus on strong relationships of brotherhood and camaraderie.
It's what made the Lord of the Rings or still does anyway. Brotherhood, Love. Love does not equate to sex, it's something beyond the baseness.

I guess I just want substance, in my companion characters ya know.

Look at the state of Halo, or Gears. Almost everything is afflicted with the same incompetence.
