@GGl2047133@Partisan_12 What is anti-Semitic about this post? This post is comparing US policy towards Israel and Great Britain. I don’t see discrimination, hostility or prejudice targeting Jewish people in this post. Just a comparison between countries and foreign aid the US is expected to provide.
@Gargrug@NoContextBrits Boiled down moreso to ancient logistics and Iran’s distance from Roman population centers. And that’s ignoring the terrain in the region as well.
@r6355205@Inhumansoflate1 Yeah, in one case the military, an organization meant to kill people, killed people. In the other, one meant to protect people killed people.
@Drangula I just saw it as appropriate discourse when regarding price controls is all.
And by worked, I meant it helped grow the economy faster than it did before instituting them. Generally they lead to stagnation, even if price normalization through economic deterrence is the end goal.
@Drangula Tariffs are not the only economic tool for leverage in the world.
Can you present a few examples of when tariffs worked?
Generally they hurt markets by eliminating foreign investment, raising consumer prices, and shrinking the domestic supply of goods effectively lowering QOL.
@Drangula@KyleKulinski Interesting you say price controls lead to starvation and death.
Did you know Tariffs are a form of price controls leading to starvation to death in the US?
