Our good friend, Ray, gave an excellent talk on John 'Longitude' Harrison who, although Yorkshire born moved to Lincolnshire at an early age. Ray described John's early career in clock making, his search for accuracy culminating in him winning the Longitude Prize. Thank you Ray
Many thanks to Paul Hildreth for last Friday's excellent talk on building stones. Paul qualified with a degree in geology & has worked within this sphere, including 30 years teaching. He illustrated his talk with many examples of buildings in local stone. Come again Paul!

On Tuesday lunch time 10th February our Sandwich Filler Talk was entitled The Mediaeval Body: How it worked. Prof Lynda Payne gave an excellent & entertaining talk full of interest on how the human body was understood for many years up until the arrival modern medicine & ideas
Last Wednesday our Zoom talk was 'Witches in Lincolnshire' by Rory Waterman who has been heading up a fascinating folklore project in Lincolnshire & this talk is one aspect of his research. A very interesting talk. Many thanks Rory.
