It disturbs me that, even if I skip past the google ai summary, the top website result is very often an article written just a month ago when it’s a topic that most certainly has much much older articles about it

I don’t knowwww. It seems like a meaningless complaint. Sometimes a character-limited-tweet isn’t going to be all that detailed on why you like something ykwim. If you ask me why I like a character I probably won’t explain all their deep angst I’ll probably tell you they’re funny
I struggle with coming up with an answer for those posts that are like “Explain why you like this characters without saying X or Y“ or “People only say they like this character for X reason” as if those reasons are disingenuous or hollow. But tbh yep i like most of my fav
characters because I found them funny or charming. I’m sure I could and have appreciated deeper aspects of their character at some point but oftentimes that really is my first and foremost reason…
I don’t really understand why people get so pressed about letterboxd ratings. So what if a good older movie is rated lower on average than a worse modern movie. That’s not changing how you feel about the one you like more
