Was told by an Air Force officer that out of the three years at most postings, only the second year matters. The first year, you can blame your predecessor. The last year, you've already got your next assignment anyways. The middle year is where you gotta make your best moves.

@RavenousMarmot @Fat_Electrician The thing we learned from IEDs is you can't have a simple easy to use and maintain vehicle that also survives IEDs. So stop trying to have one vehicle do everything. This things job is drive the infantry to the fight. If they need more, use a different vehicle.
