@NaviGoBoom I would dearly love to see a collab with you and @Real_CandRsenal just destroying the myth of the trench gun. Othais does a great job breaking it down on his video about the 1897, but most people aren't sitting through the entire documentary.
Was told by an Air Force officer that out of the three years at most postings, only the second year matters. The first year, you can blame your predecessor. The last year, you've already got your next assignment anyways. The middle year is where you gotta make your best moves.
One thing I learned early in leadership was that you don’t get to blame things on your predecessor. You get 30 days to assess, plan & improve all the things.
After that, bringing up the previous guy just makes you look incompetent.
Own the issues, they’re your fault now
@HLC_actual Why are you amplifying the fact that our troops may be lacking a defensive radar in a certain place in a warzone? Cross your mind this may make that base more of a target? Do you not remember "Loose Lips Sink Ships?"
@kappadoodles@GreenPlusAnE Cool. I'm not actually directing this at your grandmother, I'm directing it at a generation of grandmothers. I'm making a sweeping generalization.
@kappadoodles@GreenPlusAnE The issue isn't that grandma worked long and hard, the issue is she didn't work as long or as hard as her grandkids generation and yet her grandkids probably can't buy a house. Honestly, grandma probably didn't work, grandpa did. And with 1 income bought a house. Try that today.
@RavenousMarmot@Fat_Electrician Not like humvees. Humvees are overweight and underpowered, and your options are a 4 seater or a sketchy troop carrier with a truck bed and bench seats. Why would you stick with those ancient POS's when modern tech gives you something way better?
@RavenousMarmot@Fat_Electrician The thing we learned from IEDs is you can't have a simple easy to use and maintain vehicle that also survives IEDs. So stop trying to have one vehicle do everything. This things job is drive the infantry to the fight. If they need more, use a different vehicle.
@cliffordmain69@Jason_R_Burt I thought the same thing and did some research. Turns out their pump room was sealed, no water. They had watches on, and food and water in the room with them. And flashlights. Looks like this one is a really true.
