The Chaps would like to join in bidding William Russell a sad farewell.
A big star of the day, he brought something special to the mix of #DoctorWho that helped make it a hit. So lovely he got to make a brief return last year.
Vale William Russell.
(Maybe) exciting news for two of you. From today, my 3 part audio documentary series "Myth Maker: The Lost Legacy of Donald Cotton" is free. Forever. Download at https://t.co/rVHHpvZ9LQ or stream at https://t.co/0o1M4xdmVL. Happy 60th, everyone!

I think the weirdest thing about #DoctorWho becoming a streaming show for everyone outside the UK is now I have no idea how long not to talk about it to avoid spoiling fellow Australian fans who haven’t seen it yet.
But I will say I cried at one bit, and that I have thoughts.
Well, it’s 5:29 AM, I’m making tea, and I’m ready to watch “The Giggle” when it drops on Disney+. I’m expecting a hell of a ride. Good luck fellow #DoctorWho nerds.
Many* of you have been asking if we’ll get the band back together to talk about the 13th and 14th Doctor’s eras, and the answer is…we don’t know. We’re still trying to finish @NightTerrace season 3!
But it’s fun to remember what we did a decade ago.

The Chaps team are devastated at the loss of the one and only Cal Wilson, whom we had the honour of knowing and working with on various projects. Our hearts go out to her family, friends and the entire comedy community.
Living in the future has many perks, but realising slowly that you will need to wait an “extra day” for the new #DoctorWho trailer is not one of them…
(We’ll get it when everyone else does, but it’ll be a day later for us!)
Who’s that narrating this Ditmar-winning story by @KaaronWarren for @PseudoPod_org?
Only our own @PetraElliott, aka “Sue” from @NightTerrace!
Listen to “The King in Yella”, a very Australian reimagining of “The King in Yellow”, in episode 880.
“I’m always returning to Rapptown in my thoughts.”
The King in Yella, by Kaaron Warren
Narrator: Petra Elliott
Host: Alasdair Stuart
Audio: Chelsea Davis

Real trans voices on what they’re proud of, and what advice they’d give others transitioning in 2020.
This first (and so far only) #messagereceived podcast was produced for #BendigoPride.
Our own @mckenzie_ben is the guest host for the latest episode of @PseudoPod_org, the horror fiction podcast!
He introduces three creepy, eerie microfiction stories, including one by the creator of the @midnight_pals.

Once more for the evening and other timezones crowd...
A few people have asked if we'd come back for the 60th, and the answer is...maybe? But it would help to know what you'd want if we did!
Here in the future* it’s already the 59th anniversary of #DoctorWho! Happy birthday, Doctor!
We can’t promise anything, but…if we *were* to bring back the Splendid Chaps podcast next year, what would you want?
Also, 59 years since the start of #DoctorWho means it’s also nine years since we commissioned this banger of a tune from the one and only @caseybennetto for our big November 23 episode! Please enjoy.

We’re not saying anything about The Power of the Doctor until more Australians get to see it tonight, though at least one of the chaps did get up early to watch it. (And cried.)
