@Alex_T_Young@DouthatNYT It's almost as if every faculty member who isn't a complete woke moron is getting slowly squeezed out by the frauds and the fools

The blithe, assured tone Douthat routinely uses in discussing academia is just infuriating
He’s got no idea what’s he talking about. Progressive ideology & our ‘meritocratic class anxiety’ are not in fact our dominant concerns. That’s what you think if

@Pave2112@Robert_E_Kelly If Robert really thinks that ideological censorship isn't pervasive in every field, he's an utter fool

Richard Dreyfuss defends Laurence Olivier's blackface performance of Othello: "Am I being told that I will never have a chance to play a Black man? Is someone else being told that if they’re not Jewish, they shouldn’t play [in] ‘The Merchant of Venice’?" https://t.co/PeksyoSLOp
Actor Richard Dreyfuss says Hollywood’s new inclusivity standards make him want to vomit. Good. More actors, directors and producers need to speak up. Not all great stories are diverse. Not all true stories are diverse. Forced diversity hurts everyone.

There are numerous issues with the idea that Asian culture explains Asian-American achievement like
1. Measurement invariance
2. Asian adoptee high achievement
3. A lesser-known problem: measured family culture doesn't line up with the explanation.

All of sudden the woke shitlibs who don’t believe in “carceral solutions” want the Walgreens security guard in SF, the NYC subway marine and the guy who stopped the TJ Maxx shoplifter arrested and in jail.
What happened to “restorative justice”?
