I first saw a post about this which i didn't understand. Im not going to give the link in this thread because i don't want to boost it. It said that popular porn brands are running a legal extortion campaign. The post was a total distortion. When i looked into what was really happening i found that people were distributing pirated material on something called BitTorrent. Im totally opposed to having someone distribute something I paid thousands of dollars to produce taken be someone else with nothing paid to me.

I see it this way. They are exploiters , and ignored take down requests and did nothing to protect minors. They hid behind section 230 and were only concerned with profit. Their lack of concern for public welfare created a situation where lawmakers had to step in. Their failure to self regulate lead to regulation. Considering the irresponsibility, this was needed.
